Having just moved from Dallas, I ordered a handgun for my son for Christmas. TS Arms was acting as the FFL for delivery. Got a prompt call from them as soon as they received telling my son that both of us would need to be present to pick up the gun since we didn't live in the same household (college senior) . No problem. It dawned on me that I still had a Texas DL so I gave them a call to avoid any hiccups. Was told that I MUST have a Alabama DL to pickup and that both of us needed to be there. Ok, off to the DMV which needed to be done anyway. Arrive at TS the next week to pick up, was told they didn't need my license and I didn't need to be there. Then I get an I don't care if you put it in his name or not, I just need someone's driver license. Seriously guys, know what you're talking about when people are rearranging their lives to transact business. Transfer was smooth, the staff is, for the most part friendly but there are a few who have a paramilitary attitude so I would imagine if you don't know firearms you're going to be made to feel like an idiot when you hit the counter. Bought 4 boxes of ammo, paid with a credit card and I get a 3% up charge for using credit. Guys, your prices aren't that good that you should be charging 3% on a small sale to a first time and last time customer. This is a business expense, I wouldn't expect to be charged for the electricity you used while I was in the store either but this is essentially what you're doing. Mark everything up 3% and discount for debit or cash and deal with the IRS on the latter. Nice store, most of it is museum with a decent selection of arms and an abundance of attitude.
Very friendly staff! Ordered me a beautiful 1911 commander style that I'm in love with. Very knowledgeable too! If you're looking to purchase a new firearm but don't know much about them or what you should buy they can certainly point you in the right direction! Check 'em out!
Best gun store in the state. Can and will get you anything you want with no hassle as well as do some fine gunsmithing work. Very knowledgeable owner and staff. Same people still there every time you go in so,you get to build a personal relationship with them instead of having to start all over again with a different person every time you go in. They are very interested in what they do, it's not just a job to them. Known them for years and you should too. They will take care of whatever you need. Guns, ammo, accessories, clothing and even a very impressive museum to look through.
